Abebe Bikila - Ethiopian, first African to win Olympic Gold. At the Rome Olympics, he ran the marathon barefoot because he was a replacement on the team and the sponsors providing shoes hadn’t any to fit him. Now Ethiopians are well known for their long distance running. Challenging Technique: Learning a little Amharic and Painting letters on fabric.
