Stretching Art and Tradition

I was inspired by the birthday rose bushes my husband and my sons got me two years ago. My children mean the world to me, and so I got a tattoo with roses in the colors each one bought and put their name on the roses, this way my boys are always with me! The quilt is made out of muslin, commercial cotton, silk ribbon embroidery, beads and to try something new I painted on fabric for the first time!
