Stretching Art and Tradition

I have a fascination with Dragons, so a D full of Dragons was just right to be a part of my series of work with dragons. I challenged myself to create a Celtic knot work pattern on the letter and a flaming vine like the 'pen flourishes' which often accompanied illuminated letters. As I did for my B quilt, I tried using felt as wadding, finding it much easier to manipulate in the machine for the quilting. Using yellow behind the silk gave it a warmer hue.
