Stretching Art and Tradition

Peace and Quiet exists in my life only in my imagination. This summer, it existed on the African Plain, with voiceless giraffes celebrating and relaxing at sunset. Coinciding with the construction of the quilt, my mother and niece were ON the African plain, basking in their own altered state away from the hustle and bustle that have come to be known as our lives.
