SAT12: Mars and Venus

Mars and Venus are soft-sculptured dolls inspired by the first and second movements of Gustav Holst’ “The Planets”. “Mars, the Bringer of War” is a march, filled with horns and drums, rhythmic, loud and martial. “Venus, Bringer of Peace” is, by contrast, filled with strings, ethereal, soft and flowing. These dolls are my figurative interpretation of this wonderful piece of music.
